Hawk's-beard Mining Bee
A small, inconspicuous mining bee specialised on Asteraceae flowers, particularly hawk's-beard (Crepis), dandelions, and knapweeds. It has a dull brownish thorax and a black abdomen with narrow white hair bands and orange tibiae. It is univoltine and nests solitarily in sparse, sandy soils. Swiss Red List: Least Concern (LC).
