Andrena flavipes
Yellow-legged Mining Bee
One of the most common and widespread mining bees in Central Europe, easily recognised by the bright golden-yellow pollen brushes on the hind legs and broad pale brown hair bands on the abdomen. It is bivoltine, producing two generations per year, and nests in large aggregations in lawns, path edges, and bare soil in gardens and parks. Swiss Red List: Least Concern (LC).
