Lasioglossum cupromicans
Brassy Furrow Bee
A medium-sized Lasioglossum (7–9 mm) with a distinctive coppery-bronze metallic sheen on the head and thorax, setting it apart from the more common greenish species. The abdomen is black with narrow white hair bands. It nests solitarily in self-dug burrows in bare soil. In Switzerland it occurs in warm, dry habitats such as dry meadows, vineyards, and ruderal areas in lowland and colline zones. Swiss Red List: Vulnerable (VU).
