Hylaeus dilatatus
Broad-faced Yellow-face Bee
A small yellow-face bee distinguished by the broadened face of the male, which has extensive white markings. It nests in hollow stems and beetle burrows in dead wood. In Switzerland it occurs in warm, dry habitats such as dry meadows, vineyards, and ruderal areas in the lowlands and inner Alpine valleys. Swiss Red List: Least Concern (LC).
