Hylaeus pictipes
Painted Yellow-face Bee
A small yellow-face bee with distinctive red or pale markings on the legs and a black body with white facial markings. It nests in hollow stems and cavities in dead wood. In Switzerland it occurs in warm, dry habitats including dry meadows, vineyards, and ruderal areas in lowland valleys. Swiss Red List: Least Concern (LC).
